Zimbabwe – for years considered the breadbasket of Africa. Today, however, the picture is sadly changed. Hunger is overwhelming and illnesses that are easily treated are killing people for lack of access to health care. Host Mark Riedemann interviews Fr. Timothy Shonhai serving in the diocese of Gokwe, a cotton growing area in which unemployment is between 60 – 90% and the region is described as ultra-poor.
This interview was conducted by Mark Riedemann for “Where God Weeps,” a weekly TV & radio show produced by Catholic Radio & Television Network in conjunction with the international Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need.
