Bahir Dar is a city in North-western Ethiopia situated on the south shore of Lake Tana, the source of the Blue Nile. It has around 170,000 inhabitants today, a small number of whom are Catholics, however the number is growing steadily, and in particular the members of the Gumuz people have embraced the Catholic faith.
Mark Riedemann talks with Bishop Lesanu-Christos Matheos Semahun of the Bahir Dar diocese in Ethiopia about the extraordinary evangelisation work on-going in this area.
