Sri Lanka is a diverse country, land of the Sinhalese, Sri Lankan Tamils, Moors, Indian Tamils and other ethnic groups. After more than 30 years of violent civil war, Sri Lanka has been trying to heal the deep wounds left from this fight. A war with hues of religious conflict, it affected millions of people. The Catholic Church has had a particularly relevant role in the process of reconciliation and forgiveness in the Island. Jonas Soto interviews Fr. Tharanga Appuhamy to know about the work of the Church in Sri Lanka.
