Jamaica is an island country situated in the Caribbean Sea, comprising the fifth-largest island of the Caribbean. Christianity is the largest religion practiced in Jamaica, although only 2% are Roman Catholic. It is in this environment where a new congregation was founded in 1981: the Missionaries of the Poor, an international Catholic monastic order of religious brothers. Jonas Soto interviews Fr. Richard Ho Lung, founder of the Missionaries of the Poor.
